DL38
The foil-assisted aluminum powercat designed and built in Italy.
The DL38 is the first model by DL Catamarans:
a 38-foot marine-grade aluminum powercat, developed with foil-assisted architecture, limited production, and an owner-focused configuration philosophy.
A compact, technical, and distinctive platform designed for owners seeking efficiency, comfort, durability, and a more personal ownership experience.

WHY THE DL38 IS DIFFERENT
It is not just another production powercat.

The premium 38–45 foot powercat segment is evolving, yet much of the market remains tied to mass-produced fiberglass platforms with limited possibilities for structural customization.
The DL38 was created to offer a different alternative: a compact aluminum platform developed around efficiency, strength, bespoke configuration, and long-term value.
It is not designed to chase volume.
It is designed for owners who value what lies beneath the surface.
More technical than a lifestyle dayboat.
More refined than a workboat.
More custom than a production yacht.

WHY ALUMINUM
A choice of substance, not appearance.
The marine-grade aluminum structure is one of the foundational choices of the DL38.
Compared to a mass-produced fiberglass platform, aluminum enables greater design freedom, high reparability, the absence of osmosis, and a construction logic that is more consistent with a nautical asset designed for long-term durability.
For DL Catamarans, aluminum is not just a material. It is a design statement.
Durability.
Repairability.
Recyclability.
Design freedom.

FOIL-ASSISTED ARCHITECTURE
Efficiency, trim, and cruising comfort.
Above transition speed, the foil-assisted configuration is designed to reduce hydrodynamic drag and improve running trim, with the objective of delivering greater efficiency within the cruising range, reduced pitching, and a smoother ride.
-
Improved efficiency in the 22–30 knot range
-
Reduced pitching motion
-
Target top speed exceeding 40 knots
-
Target range of up to 400 nautical miles, depending on configuration and operating profile
All values are preliminary design targets and will be confirmed only following final engineering, technical freeze, and sea trials.

TECHNICAL TRANSPARENCY
Ambitious, yet engineered with technical discipline.
DL Catamarans is conceived as a boutique brand built around a specialized technical ecosystem.
The DL38 project brings together expertise in design, aluminum construction, certification, CFD analysis, hydrofoil systems, structural engineering, and scientific consultancy to support the development of the first hull.
Performance, range, fuel consumption, and the benefits of the foil-assisted architecture will be disclosed only once supported by full engineering validation, technical freeze, and sea trials of the first hull.
This approach is intentional: the project is ambitious, yet developed and communicated with technical transparency.
LIFE ON BOARD
Generous spaces, protection, and seamless continuity between interior and exterior areas.
The DL38 is designed to deliver a refined and functional onboard experience within a size that remains manageable for an owner-operator.
The spaces are conceived for real-world use: conviviality, protection, comfort, safe movement on board, and seamless continuity between interior and exterior areas.
The layout enhances Mediterranean living with generous lounge areas, modular sunpads, a protective hardtop with glazed surfaces and an opening roof, dedicated side decks for maneuvering, and a wide central passageway that connects stern and bow quickly, safely, and in full protection.
The cockpit comfortably accommodates up to 12 guests thanks to a spacious seating area and integrated benches, transforming the stern into a true lounge at sea. At the aft, modular sunpads further expand outdoor livability, creating a versatile, private space deeply connected to the sea.

BESPOKE INTERIORS
Designed around the owner’s lifestyle.
The interiors of the DL38 are designed to offer independence, comfort, and full customization.
The layout includes two cabins and two bathrooms, featuring an owner’s suite and a versatile guest cabin. Materials, finishes, color palettes, systems, and detailing are defined during the configuration phase, within the technical and regulatory boundaries of the project.
No two DL38 yachts are identical.
Each unit is born from a shared vision between the owner, designer, and technical team.
